As part of the IMSS application or renewal, it is a requirement that your Canadian documents go through a process called authentication and legalization, also referred to as apostille.

Canada is not a signatory to the Hague Apostille Convention, which means it is not possible to obtain an apostille on Canadian documents. To be recognized in a foreign country Canadian documents must be authenticated and legalized. Your documents, such as birth and marriage certificates, will need to be authenticated at Global Affairs Canada and then legalized at the Embassy of Mexico.

We work with you to make sure your documents are prepared correctly.  Once we have confirmed your documents meet the requirements, simply send your documents to us and we will manage all aspects of the authentication and legalization process, often in as little as a few days!
