The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) will authenticate certified true copies of documents. The certification must be done by a Canadian notary public. The stamp, name, and signature of the notary must be legible on the document. Several copies of the same document may be authenticated and then legalized at the necessary embassies.
Please make sure the embassy will accept a certified true copy. There are some documents that must be submitted to certain embassies in their original form. Check with your IDC specialist to be sure.
