The Chamber of Commerce provides certification of a variety of commercial documents, such as Certificates of Origin and Commercial Invoices. There are specific requirements for each type of document that must be met in order to have them to be certified by the Chamber of Commerce, including formatting and notarization. For document specific requirements we suggest you visit the website of The Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
Depending on the requirements of the destination country, Chamber of Commerce certified documents may also need to be authenticated and legalized, a process also referred to as Apostille. The authentication and legalization process consists of two steps; authentication by Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD) and legalization by the diplomatic mission of your destination country.
Processing your documents through this 3 step process by mail will take several weeks.
International Document Canada (IDC) specializes in managing the authentication and legalization of documents, such as Certificates of Origin and Commercial Invoices. We can also look after the processing of your documents through the Chamber of Commerce.
You send your documents to us and we take care of the rest, in as little as a few days!
