You are embarking on an exciting journey by relocating to Kuwait. During the relocation process, you will be asked to provide your personal and educational documents. Before you can provide your personal or education documents to the recipient in Kuwait, it is necessary that your documents go through a process called authentication and legalization, also known as attestation or apostille. No matter which term is used, they all refer to the same process.

The authentication and legalization process enables your Canadian educational documents, such as University degrees and College diplomas, to be used in Kuwait. This is a two-step process that must be done in Canada. First, your documents must be authenticated at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFATD). Next, they must be legalized at the Embassy of Kuwait in Ottawa. Each step of the process validates a signature on your document and a new signature and stamp is applied to the document.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFATD) and the Embassy of Kuwait both have very specific requirements for the authentication and legalization of educational documents. Our close relationship with DFATD and the Embassy of Kuwait in Ottawa ensures that these requirements are met and the processing of your documents is done right.

If you have questions or need help having your educational documents authenticated and legalized for use in Kuwait, contact one of our experts.
