About the Document Apostille Process
Every country that has signed the Hague Apostille Convention can issue an international apostille. An apostille certifies the authenticity of a document from one country so that it will be officially recognized in another country. Because Canada has not signed the Hague Apostille Convention, we cannot issue apostilles. Instead, Canada uses an equivalent three-step process called document authentication and legalization.
