The process to obtain an e-apostille requires you to work with an apostille service provider.

• Your electronically issued document must be confirmed acceptable for your purposes.
• Next, the document must be printed in a jurisdiction that allows this process.
• Then, it must be taken through the process, either directly with the apostille authority (if applicable), or by having it notarized before it goes for apostille.

If you bring your documents in person, the processing time for your documents may be faster. However, that depends on where they need to be apostilled. Many offices do not take in person submissions.

• Global Affairs Canada - They do not provide in-person services. Mail-in is the only option.
