What is authentication and legalization?
When you need a document to be recognized in another country, it has to go through a specific process to be properly certified. Documents destined for non-apostille countries will go through a process called “authentication and legalization”.
Documents destined for apostille signatory countries will go through the “document apostille” process. The entire process centers on certifying that the official signature(s) on the document are legitimate.
