How long does it take to process documents if I bring them in person?

If you bring your documents in person, the processing time for your documents may be faster. However, that depends on where they need to be apostilled. Many offices do not take in person submissions.

• Global Affairs Canada – They do not provide in-person services. Mail-in is the only option.
• Provincial Apostille offices – Some provinces do allow in-person attendance. However, there are also a few that only accept mail-in requests.
• Your destination country is not a signatory to the Hague Apostille Convention – If your destination country is not a apostille country, the documents will require diplomatic legalization. Each diplomatic mission has it’s own requirements and timelines.
