The process to obtain an e-apostille requires you to work with an apostille service provider.
- Your electronically issued document must be confirmed acceptable for your purposes.
- Next, the document must be printed in a jurisdiction that allows this process.
- Then, it must be taken through the process, either directly with the apostille authority (if applicable), or by having it notarized before it goes for apostille.
With our e-apostille services, we will take your document through the Ontario apostille authority in Ottawa for the apostille. If your document requires notarization, we will handle it prior to the apostille.
We would welcome the chance to discuss your situation and answer your questions. Call us toll-free at 1-888-433-1011, or send us a quick online enquiry.

To go through the e-apostille process, you will need to have an electronically issued document that it acceptable for e-apostille. We can help you determine if your document is eligible.
The document is printed from the original electronic file and then it is taken to a Canadian Notary Public for notarization. Once the document has been notarized, it can be taken to the apostille authority where they will apply the apostille certificate.
Not all apostille authorities or destination countries will accept a document that has gone through the e-apostille process.
If your destination country is not a apostille country, the document will also require diplomatic legalization. Each diplomatic mission has it's own requirements and timelines.
We recommend that you send your document to us and we will manage the process on your behalf. We would welcome the chance to discuss your situation and answer your questions. Call us toll-free at 1-888-433-1011, or send us a quick online enquiry.

In Canada, the term "e-apostille" refers to the process of obtaining an apostille on an electronically issued document. Examples of documents that may be issued electronically are:
- Corporate - Certificates and Articles of Incorporation, Corporate Profiles, Health Canada Licences.
- Personal - Name-based criminal record checks, transcripts, letters of confirmation.
Electronically issued documents can be printed from the original file to be taken through the apostille process.
However, care should be taken to research all the requirements in advance. Not all offices and countries accept documents that are issued electronically, or documents notarized outside of certain jurisdictions.
