If you need your Canadian documents officially recognized in Qatar, they will need to go through a specific process known as attestation. In Canada, the attestation process is more commonly referred to as the document authentication and legalization process.
To attest documents with the Embassy of Qatar you will first need to have these documents authenticated with the appropriate authentication authority in Canada. Once your documents have been authenticated, they can be submitted to the Embassy of Qatar, along with required supporting documents (where applicable). The types of supporting documents that you will be required to submit depend on the type of documents you are attesting. There are additional strict requirements for some types of documents such as university diplomas.
We would be happy to assist you with the attestation (the authentication and legalization) of your Canadian documents for use in Qatar. We will work with you to ensure your documents are prepared correctly and then manage all aspects of the attestation process. When you contact us we'll discuss your specific processing needs, explain your options, and answer your questions - no pressure and no obligation. The Embassy of Qatar typically takes 5 business days on average to attest (legalize) documents, assuming that all is in order when they are submitted. If your documents are not prepared correctly when you submit them, the process will be delayed. In addition, if necessary supporting documents have not been submitted or have not yet arrived, the attestation of your documents will be delayed.
For example, if you need to attest an educational document for use in Qatar, you will first have to arrange for official transcripts and a special "true copy form" to be sent from your educational institution directly to the embassy.
Note that all documents for legalization will first need to be authenticated by the appropriate authority in Canada before the Embassy of Qatar will attest them.
We can assist you with all stages of the attestation (authentication and legalization) process, ensuring your documents are processed rapidly and accurately. Our experts specialize in getting your documents, including more complicated documents such as university diplomas and commercial contracts, through the attestation process without interruption.
