The short answer is no. However, in this process there can be exceptions. You should contact the person or authority who has requested the Manufacturer's Declaration to ask them if they would accept a copy, or of they require the original. You must also check with the embassy or consulate of the destination country (if applicable). Not all diplomatic missions will accept copies of documents. The process of "apostille" or "attestation" of your Manufacturer's Declaration is a multi-step process. "Apostille" is a term used in some countries referring to the Hague Apostille Convention. "Attestation" is another term used by some countries to describe this process. In Canada, the process is apostille, or authentication and legalization.
Canada became a member of the Hague Apostille Convention in January 2024, and therefore, you can now obtain an apostille on a Canadian document. An apostille is obtained by submitting your documents to the appropriate government office in Canada. The appropriate office is determined by the origins of the documents themselves.
