As Canada is not a signatory to the Hague Apostille Convention, it is not possible to obtain an apostille certificate on Canadian documents. To be recognized in a foreign country, Canadian documents must go through the authentication and legalization process. It is a two-step process that involves authentication at the Department of Foreign Affairs and then legalization at the appropriate diplomatic mission.

Oman does not have a diplomatic mission in Canada. However, the legalization of Canadian documents for use in Oman can be done at the Embassy of Kuwait in Ottawa. Alternatively, there is also an Embassy of Oman in Washington, DC that will legalize Canadian documents. The following link provides more information on Document legalization for Oman.
