When you need to use your Canadian documents in Qatar, they will need to go through a process called authentication and legalization, also known as attestation. No matter which term is used, they refer to the same process.
As of December 1, 2016, there is a consular fee increase at the Embassy of Qatar. The new fee for the legalization of personal documents, such as University Degrees and criminal record checks, is now forty dollars each.
The authentication and legalization process enables your Canadian documents to be recognized in Qatar. This process involves having your documents authenticated at Global Affairs Canada and then legalized at the Embassy of Qatar in Ottawa.
We can authenticate and legalize your educational documents for use in Qatar, saving you up to five weeks of processing time.
