Global Affairs Canada, formerly called The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Development Canada, is a department of the Canadian federal government, located in Ottawa. Global Affairs Canada has many departments with many functions. One such department is the Authentication of Documents section (the JLAC office) where they authenticate/apostille official Canadian documents to be used abroad.
