Canada has signed the Hague Apostille Convention and it took effect January 2024. This means that the process has been streamlined to remove the need for diplomatic document legalization.

Canadian documents need to be apostilled by either Global Affairs Canada, located in Ottawa, or the appropriate provincial authority. Each apostille office functions on a jurisdictional basis depending on where the documents originated. Additionally, each of these offices has their own processing time, ranging from 1-15 business days with the provinces and up to 70 business days with Global Affairs Canada.

The alternative is to use an expert service to handle the apostille process for you. We are Canada’s leading apostille service provider, processing many thousands of documents every year for clients from across Canada and around the world. We are located in Ottawa, allowing us to provide in person submissions for Ontario apostilles.

We would be happy to handle the apostille process on your behalf. Contact us to find out more about our services.
