About the Document Legalization Process
The document legalization process is used to certify documents from one country so that they can be officially recognized in another country. In order to have your Canadian documents recognized in China, you will likely need to first have these documents legalized by the Embassy of China in Ottawa. It is important to note that document legalization is the third step in a three step process. Before you can legalize your documents they first need to be prepared for processing, and then authenticated at Global Affairs Canada. Click below for more information on each of these three steps. Or phone our friendly staff directly at 1-888-433-1011. We’ll explain the legalization process to you and answer your questions.
How We Can Help You
The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China is very strict about the document legalization process. They have specific requirements for how documents are prepared, and about which supporting documents are required. They also have strict consular jurisdiction, with the Embassy in Ottawa and the various Chinese consulates across Canada each having responsibility for processing documents from certain regions.
Our specialists are expert in navigating the Chinese legalization system. When you contact us we’ll discuss your specific processing requirements, explain the process to you, and answer any questions you have.
