The Canadian apostille process is required for Canadian documents destined for the United States.

The first step in the Canadian apostille process involves preparing your documents, ensuring they meet the requirements of the appropriate apostille office. The second step involves submitting your documents to the appropriate apostille office in Canada for an apostille.

If the document you are presenting in The United States requires your signature, you will need to notarize and apostille your document. To validate the signature on your document you have three options:

  1. Sign the document at one of the diplomatic missions of The United States in Canada. Nothing further is required.
  2. Go over the border to The United States and sign in front of a US Notary. Nothing further is required.
  3. Sign in front of a Canadian Notary Public. Then you will need to have the document apostilled as described above.
