JLAC is the Authentication and Service of Documents Section of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT).
Once your document meets the authentication requirements of JLAC they will authenticate the signature on your document and place their stamp and signature on it. This is only one step of the authentication and legalization or apostille process. Next your document will need to go to the embassy of the destination country.
Mail in authentication at JLAC presently takes 5 weeks to process. We can look after this for you in as little as 1 day and then submit your document to the required embassy. Once legalized we ship it back to you.
We make sure your document meets the requirements of both JLAC and the embassy to ensure fast and certain processing.
