Canadian companies that export products from Canada to Iraq will be asked to have the Certificates of Origin, Commercial Invoices, and other trade documents authenticated and legalized. The authentication and legalization process is a requirement for Canadian documents to be used in another country.
Certificates of Origin (CO) are documents certifying that the products being exported are wholly obtained, produced or manufactured in a particular Country. If all of the products do not originate from Canada, the Embassy of Iraq requires that the Certificate of Origin is first legalized by each country of the products origin.
