There are special requirements when attesting (legalizing) commercial documents at the Embassy of Libya. If the documents are associated with a new business (or a business new to the Embassy of Libya) they require the following two letters be supplied along with the documents for legalization:

  1. A letter stating the purpose, scope and type of work being done in Libya. This letter must be translated, notarized by a Canadian Notary Public, and authenticated.
  2. A letter from the company stating that no business will be done in or with Israel. This letter must be translated, notarized by a Canadian Notary Public, and authenticated.

If the documents being legalized are connected to an existing company already doing business in Libya, you must provide proof of this existing business.

Embassy requirements and supporting documents change regularly. Therefore, we suggest you contact the Embassy of Libya or our office before commencing the process, to verify the current requirements. Contact us with your questions or for a detailed quote – no pressure and no obligation. Call us toll-free at 1-888-433-1011, or send us an online enquiry.
